Downgrading Windows 8...
I had a few teething problems with a machine I tried to downgrade the other day and thought it may be worth sharing with you as this can also help if you installing new hardware into your windows 8 machine.
What I am talking about it Legacy mode in the bios of new machines.
This allows the user to install certain hardware and has also helped me install windows 7 a little easier.
Follow the steps below if you have been having issues downgrading windows 8 or installing new hardware.
How to change your bios to legacy mode:
- Access your bios by tapping either (ESC, F2 or DEL) as you turn your computer on (depending on your computer it could be either one of these)
- Locate hardware settings or common settings inside bios and there you should see an option to turn on "legacy Mode"
- Save the changes and restart your computer.

Windows 8 update stuck on 15%
After setting up a few computers I have noticed some seem to stick on 15% during one of the updates my solution is:
1) from the metro start screen type "msconfig" then press enter
2) select the services tab from the top
3) MAKE SURE "hide all Microsoft services" is ticked
4) click "disable all" then "apply"
5) restart your computer and try updating again
Microsoft scam still live
Had a customer today who recieved a phone call from "microsoft" please be carefull and just hang up on them. Microsoft willl never ring nor any other legitimate company saying you have a virus.
Just put the phone down and run a virus scan.
