Downgrading Windows 8...

This is just a quick post with regards to windows 8 downgrades.

I had a few teething problems with a machine I tried to downgrade the other day and thought it may be worth sharing with you as this can also help if you installing new hardware into your windows 8 machine.

What I am talking about it Legacy mode in the bios of new machines.
This allows the user to install certain hardware and has also helped me install windows 7 a little easier.

Follow the steps below if you have been having issues downgrading windows 8 or installing new hardware.

How to change your bios to legacy mode:

  1. Access your bios by tapping either (ESC, F2 or DEL) as you turn your computer on (depending on your computer it could be either one of these)
  2. Locate hardware settings or common settings inside bios and there you should see an option to turn on "legacy Mode"
  3. Save the changes and restart your computer.
