I had a few teething problems with a machine I tried to downgrade the other day and thought it may be worth sharing with you as this can also help if you installing new hardware into your windows 8 machine.
What I am talking about it Legacy mode in the bios of new machines.
This allows the user to install certain hardware and has also helped me install windows 7 a little easier.
Follow the steps below if you have been having issues downgrading windows 8 or installing new hardware.
How to change your bios to legacy mode:
- Access your bios by tapping either (ESC, F2 or DEL) as you turn your computer on (depending on your computer it could be either one of these)
- Locate hardware settings or common settings inside bios and there you should see an option to turn on "legacy Mode"
- Save the changes and restart your computer.
