Did you know....
On most, if not all laptops they have a power saving option, so when you unplug your laptop they can run slower and dim the display in order to make the battery last longer. This is a great feature for when you are not using anything too powerful on your laptop. However if you are running a game or high end program this can cause a few problems.
To change any of these power saving options, you can simply click on the battery icon in the bottom right of the screen and select the desired setting you require. Be warned though; even though your machine will run faster the battery life can be dramatically reduced (so you may need your charger on standby).
